Welcome post
Welcome to the continuation of my progressive Foundation path at De Montfort University. This semester, I plan to complete my portfolio before entering my first year of University. As I mentioned earlier, I would like to become a Director-screenwriter in the future. I am attracted to this area by a large number of personalities, as well as the fact that I am a big fan of movies. I could name a large number of well-known Directors who have inspired me, but I would like to call the relatively little-known Leigh Whannel as a Director - screenwriter, inspiring me now.
I like this filmmaker with his two latest author's films-Upgrade (2018) and the Invisible Man (2020), as these films stand out from those that I used to see when I go to the cinema. His films look like a breath of fresh air among the usual Assembly-line movies from Hollywood. In his last work, he successfully worked on a film that was positioned as a typical horror movie. However, during the viewing was much more exciting. Film critic Matthew Rozsa (2020) believes that the film has an intellectual subtext. It's good that people like Leigh are now trusted in the cinema, because the audience needs to see something new than boring blockbusters.
