Major project: Software testing/Videoclip test

In this blog, I talk in a video about my attempts to create a motivational video for my project. In the process, I created a demo version of what my final project should look like. I will tell you about the process of working in the Final Cut Pro program. I will tell you where I got the footage and music for my motivational video clip. I will show my first result, which I did. And also about my impressions, what I think I did well and what I need to improve.

Process:

Unfortunately, VideoRecorder program did not record computer sounds, just my voice. You can check my voice and music below in a result.

Sometimes I don't understand why we become so indifferent to what the future holds. We are ready to give up everything that we were aiming for because of laziness, very important meetings with friends, incorrect sleep timetable, because playing computer games or watching another episode of the series is more important than doing something that will help you in the future. We give up when we don't understand something, when we lose confidence in what we are doing, when something that once brought pleasure has become too boring and not interesting. We want everything in this life to be easy for us, so that we put as little effort as possible, but get as much as possible. However, in life this does not happen, many of the well-known personalities that you want to be like worked tirelessly to achieve success. We want to be writing books like JK Rowling, making movies like Steven Spielberg, or even playing football like Cristiano Ronaldo, but we can't do even ten percent of what they did. So maybe now is the time when you need to get up and go do something in order to succeed? Or continue to sit idle in the hope that success will fall into your hands? My advice to you, if you want to achieve something, you need to start doing something for this and not in a month, week or even tomorrow, you have to start it right now. Time does not stand still and will not wait until you have a desire. Remember this.

Reflection:

Working in the program in Final Cut Pro gave me an idea of my current capabilities and what I should improve in the future. First, I really liked the quality of the footages, despite the disadvantages, the footages are very high quality despite the fact that they are free to use. Footages create the right visual tone and complement my motivational speech. Secondly, I liked the more or less convenient and intuitive interface ( for me), since I immediately understood what and where it is having experience in other programs. However, there are some things that I need to change or improve when I work on the final result. First, this is my speech, starting with the fact that the voice itself has an unfortunate tone, relative to the videos that I have studied, ending with the fact that the sound is easy to determine that the voice was recorded on a cheap microphone from the basement. This sounds unconvincing and unprofessional. I expect that in the final project I will use Adobe Audition, since I have worked with this program and know what settings to use. And finally, the speech itself sounds bad, because I was constantly stuttering and lost in words. This is not allowed for the final project. Secondly, there are no subtitles, and I hope to do some research to understand how to insert them correctly and harmanically into the work. They are also necessary in case I falter in my speech. Third, I expect to use more references and quotes in the final draft to strengthen my point of view. Otherwise, I am sure that I understand the points in which I have to work hard to make a good final project.

  1. Good that you now investigated stock footage and audio recording however the narrative I am not sure tells people anything they do not already know - as we discussed you have to really sell the motivational stuff and have an angle as this falls into the self help category as a genre you really should be looking at self help videos and seeing how they use steps and a program of some kind that they will claim works
