Major Project: New Motivational text

In this blog, I would like to describe my new motivational speech for my video clip. I did a little research and came up with some ideas about how my speech should sound so that I could motivate students. And I would like to write about what my speech will look like in a motivational video.

I would like to start my speech with a quote from a person. This quote should have a logical continuation. Analyzing what I used as my motivational text for the first time, I came to the conclusion that the quote from Henry Novak (2011) "The Pain of Studying Is Only Temporary. But the Pain of Not Knowing - Ignorance - Is Forever". For me, this is the most appropriate quote, because my next phrases will be about how difficult it can be for a student to study at a University and explore unfamiliar innovations.

Next, according to the structure that was studied in previous studies, there should be words about the problems of students when studying at the University, what they face and why they lose motivation. My version looks like this: "No one has ever said that learning is easy. We have to do a lot to get access to a more successful life. On the other hand, we lose motivation, this can happen for many reasons. We can make a huge effort, but to get what we think is an undeservedly low grade, we may question what we are doing, because it becomes too difficult for us to do it. It seems to me that all these are excuses of weak people to explain to themselves why they can't do what others can do. It can be easy for you only when you are not doing anything, but if you are engaged in your own development, it can be difficult, but you need to find the strength to overcome the difficulties."

The next part of the text should contain the story of a famous person who went through a large number of failures, but achieved his goal through perseverance. This will be the middle of the video between "accusation" and "advice". For example, I took Joanne Kathleen Rowling and the story from his biography, when she was at the bottom, but as a result became one of the most famous writers of our time. My text here is : "I think many of you know the writer of the Harry Potter books. Her name is Joanne Kathleen Rowling and once she considered herself the biggest loser. She spent a huge amount of time on her first book, but all 12 publishers who were sent copies were rejected because no one believed in it. But she didn't give up and a year later a small London publishing house agreed, and then Joanne became known all over the world. In 2008, she told the students of Harvard up next “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default."

The final part of my speech will be a piece of advice that should help students. I will also speak based on the examples I have analyzed. I got the following: "You can give up right now and your life will no longer have problems with learning, but there will be problems with survival that will become permanent. You have to take responsibility for what decisions you make, and don't expect luck to knock on your door. Learning is difficult, but if you have already started doing something, you should finish it before the end."

Summing up the text turned out to have a good structure and interesting examples. I used two sources at once to support my ideas and convey them to the audience. Moreover, the text was longer than the previous one by 95 seconds. I also avoided difficult words so that the audience would not have problems understanding ( just like me)
