Reflection on the major project

Summing up the past 10 weeks spent on creating a new script, I was surprised that I encountered great difficulties. Unfortunately, online training is much more difficult for me than the traditional version, which I am used to. On the other hand, there were other unforeseen factors that greatly affected my academic performance this semester. Although towards the end of the semester, my problems went away, but it was already week 9, so the past work itself causes little positive, unfortunately.

My new project was writing a new script. I decided to write a script that would be very different from the previous one in style, structure, characters, and so on. According to my beliefs, if you cut down the new and previous script, you get the clear impression that they were written by two different people (which can not but please). I spent most of my time trying to present the story as correctly as possible for the audience. And the main problem was how to put 14 days of preparation of the main character in several pages of the script, because if you show it every day, it will be very tedious and uninteresting for the viewer, so only highlights of preparation are shown, without any daily routine. There was a question of how to make transitions between days correctly, and I chose the most non-obvious example from Deadpool, where the events of the film go 6 years ahead and the corresponding inscription appears on the screen. I think it's a good idea to show how many days are left before the exam and how the character is ready for the exam and how he himself changes during this time.

During this time, I have made significant progress in developing my knowledge of screenwriting. After all, in the future, I can not know what scenario I will write, so it is necessary to know all the aspects. On the other hand, I am still far from knowing all the aspects that can be used when writing a script and I think, despite the work I have done, I have at least twice as much time to go before saying that I know how to write a script correctly.
