Watching Movies/TV-series research
I got a task in which I have to find out the preferences of ordinary viewers who watch movies and TV series. Then do a little analysis based on their responses. The questions themselves were quite simple and did not cause any problems for the respondents. The main thing that I needed to understand was where, how often and what people who are among my acquaintances watch. I found out the opinions of 9 different people according to their preferences, so that the answers differ from each other. Let's look at the results!
The last question is rather a clarification from the previous one, since it asks about the criteria for choosing a suitable movie or TV series. The results were quite different. On the other hand, if you try to combine them, it turns out that the respondents like films primarily with a good cast, and also depends a little on the genre of the movie or series and the mood.
So what happens if you combine all these answers into one? The respondents still prefer to watch movies at home(perhaps such responses are due to the pandemic), do it several times a month, and by choice, quite different options. It can be a new movie, or an old series, but this movie or series should have good ratings among critics and viewers, a good cast (with famous names).
If I select the appropriate movies and TV series according to these criteria, then my choice would turn out to be something like this.
The first three questions were with a choice of answer, because according to the law of questionnaires, it is better not to force the respondents to write a lot of text at once, as they may think that the questions are too complex and will be even more difficult, as a result-a lot of time spent.
If we discuss the answers that in the current situation, more people prefer to watch movies at home than in cinemas, and there is not a single person who would say that they like film festivals. It is better for respondents to watch movies often than not at all. but most said that watching a few times a week, some kind of movie, would be the best option. Preferences for choosing among new movies, recapitulating old movies or watching TV series, could well surprise, since there is equality of choice.
The next two questions were open-ended, and in the first of them, I wanted to find out how they were looking for movies to watch. The answers were slightly different, but you can see a certain trend. For example, five out of nine in the response have sites with ratings, such as IMDB, Yandex films (for CIS), and rotten tomatoes. The rest of the answers are slightly different, someone chooses among their favorite actors, and someone watches the trailer or asks their friends for their opinion.

If I select the appropriate movies and TV series according to these criteria, then my choice would turn out to be something like this.
- New Movie: Knives out (2019)
- Old Film to re-watch: The Godfather (1972)
- TV-series: True Detective (2014-2019)
